Description of axial fan GD454

The axial fan type GD454 has a high volume flow of 700 m³/h at a nominal speed of 1400 rpm, a voltage of 400 volts and a diameter of 450 mm.

The axial fans are versatile, with popular places of use being offices, smaller generator rooms or machines. The variant of the built-in fan can be used very well in office and hall walls as well as in containers due to the stable steel ring, which is powder-coated or galvanized.

Voltage and regulation of the GD454 axial fan

The 230 volt AC fans can also be easily controlled by temperature controllers TR46 from our offer.

Many of our customers use air quality controllers to make the air in their offices more pleasant and fresh. Our axial blowers are also so frequently used in stables.

For locations with high temperatures, thermal contacts are recommended. The thermal contacts, which work in the form of bimetal switches, can help prevent damage to the motor.

The voltage of the three-phase motor is 400 volts and 50 hertz. 480, 60 hertz and 575 volts, 60 hertz for USA and Canada areas are also available in our wide offer catalog. Special voltages of 500 volts and 50 hertz can be produced on request.

Also available in our offer are speed controllers in transformer design. This allows the fans to be controlled over the entire speed range.

The 230 volt AC axial fans are also infinitely variable and electronically controllable. Based on this, the control can be taken over not only by a speed controller, but also by CO2 controllers, air quality controllers and temperature controllers from our range.

Frequency converters can also control the three-phase motors. However, it should be noted that, depending on the frequency converter, an all-pole sinusoidal filter must be added between the motor and the fan (DIN-IEC/TS 60034-17).

Stainless steel variants of the GD454 axial fan

Stainless steel fans in V2A (material number 1.4301 or AISI 304 or X5CrNi189) and V4A (material number 1.4571 or AISI 316 or X10CrNiMoTil810) are also available. While V2A is particularly used in the food industry, V4A is especially recommended for salty air.

The motors are made of high quality cast aluminum and can be painted with food color or left raw on request. Also a material especially approved for the food industry is conceivable in the production with regular acceptances.

For offshore applications, painting of the products with salt water-resistant paint is possible.

Material of the GD454 axial fan

As a standard, the impellers are made of high quality, sturdy plastic reinforced with fiberglass. Aluminum impellers are also available for high temperatures.

Rectangular plate fans can be produced on request, but only with a minimum order quantity.

IP54 and IP56 are available protection ratings for humid environments, standard fan protection rating is IP44.

The air flow is also freely selectable by specifying the air direction.

The air direction can also be reversed without any problems. However, the impellers are profiled to provide the highest possible efficiency with the normal air direction, which is why a 15% loss in performance must be expected with a reversed air direction.
The motors from Kaiser Ventilatorenbau, specially developed and adapted to the axial units, carry thermal protection class F or H according to DIN EN 60085.
An IPx6 test of the humidity class and salt water tests of the stainless steel fans in the offshore area as well as type tests for storage and installation temperature are available.
The fan meets all requirements of the ERP2015 Ecodesign Directive (ErP Directive 2009/125/EC EU Regulation No. 327/2011) and is therefore energy efficient and carries the CE mark.
Blow-out protection grilles and weather protection dampers are available in our offer catalog and can be ordered if they should be necessary to comply with the Machinery Directive.
