Description of axial fan GD504

The GD504 axial fan has a high flow rate of 9000 m³/h with a diameter of 500 mm and a nominal speed of 1400 rpm. It has a voltage of 400 volts.

Versatile application of the axial fan allows its use for cooling of or in machines, but also ventilation of smaller generator rooms or offices. The variant of the built-in fan allows the fan to be integrated into office walls, hall walls or containers with the help of the stable powder-coated or galvanized steel ring.

Voltage and regulation of the GD504 axial fan

Each AC axial fan can be controlled at 230 volts by means of a temperature controller from our wide range of products.

Air quality controllers can also be used to make the air in offices more pleasant. The fans are also widely used in stables.

If the fan is to be used under high temperatures, a thermal contact in the form of a bimetal switch is recommended to prevent long-term damage to the motor.

The rated voltage of our three-phase motors is 400 volts and 50 hertz, but voltages of 480 volts, 60 hertz for use in the USA and 575 volts, 60 hertz for Canada are also possible. Special voltages of 500 volts, 50 hertz are also available by agreement.

Stainless steel variants of axial fan GD504

Stainless steel fans from our offer are available in V2A (material number 1.4301 or AISI 304 or X5CrNi189) for food industry and in V4A (material number 1.4571 or AISI 316 or X10CrNiMoTil810) for salty air.

The motors are always made of high quality cast aluminum, but on request they can be left raw for the food industry or painted with food color. In case of regular acceptance, production from material approved for food industry is also possible.

Painting with salt water-resistant paint for offshore use is also possible.

Material of the GD504 axial fan

The impellers can be produced from aluminum for use at higher temperatures, but as standard they are made from fiberglass-reinforced plastic material.

A rectangular plate fan version is also available from a minimum order quantity.

The standard IP44 protection rating can be upgraded to IP54 or IP56, allowing use in humid conditions.

Air flow is also selectable by specifying air direction on the order.

Weather protection dampers and blow-out protection grilles from our offer catalog are also available on request for compliance with the Machinery Directive.

The axial fan is designed in such a way that the air direction can be reversed. However, a 15% loss in air performance must be expected, as the impeller blades are profiled to ensure optimum efficiency with standard air direction.
The motors, specially developed by Kaiser Ventilatorenbau and adapted to the axial blowers, carry thermal protection class F or H according to DIN EN 60085.
An IPx6 test regarding the humidity class is available and can be requested. Likewise, salt water tests for stainless steel fans in offshore applications and type tests for storage and installation temperature are available.
The CE mark is available on each of the energy-efficient fans, all of which comply with the ERP 2015 Ecodesign Directive (ErP Directive 2009/125/EC EU Regulation No. 327/2011).
The fans can be controlled by speed controllers in a robust transformer design over the entire speed range.
The AC fans can be controlled by means of continuously variable electronic speed controllers. CO2 controllers, air quality controllers and temperature controllers can be used to control the fans.
Frequency converters can control the AC motors, but it is important to note that according to DIN-IEC/TS 60034-17, depending on the frequency converter, an all-pole sinusoidal filter must be connected between the motor and the fan.
