Description of axial fan GE504

GE504, a quiet and efficient running fan with a volume flow of 8800 m³/h and a rotation frequency of 1400 rpm has a voltage of 230 volts and a diameter of 500 mm.

The fan is often used for cooling of or in machines. But because the areas of application are so versatile, the fan is also used for ventilation and cooling of offices or rooms with generators. In the design variant of the built-in fan, the sturdy powder-coated or galvanized steel ring allows it to be used in containers, office and hall walls.

Voltage and regulation of axial fan GE504

Temperature controllers TR46 from our offer can control the 230 volt AC fans.

Air quality controllers can also be supplied, they help to make the air in the place of use more pleasant, which is why the fans are used, for example, in stables.

Thermal contacts as bimetal switches prevent damage to the motor when used under high temperatures.

The voltage of the motor is 230 volts, 50 hertz. For the three-phase motors, voltages of 480 volts, 60 hertz for the USA and 575 volts, 60 hertz for Canada and special voltages of 500 volts, 50 hertz are also possible.

The fans, which are adjustable in the whole speed range, can be controlled by speed controllers in transformer design from our offer.

The 230 volt AC fans can also be taken over not only by temperature controllers, but also by air quality controllers, CO2 controllers and stepless electronic speed controllers.

Frequency converters can control the three-phase motors, but it should be noted that, depending on the frequency converter, an all-pole sinusoidal filter must be used between the motor and the fan (DIN-IEC/TS 60034-17).

Stainless steel versions of the GE504 axial fan

Stainless steel fans are available in V2A (material number 1.4301 or AISI 304 or X5CrNi189) for the food industry and in V4A (material number 1.4571 or AISI 316 or X10CrNiMoTil810) for salty air.

As a standard, the motors are cast from high-grade aluminum material, but for the food industry, they can be left raw, painted with food color or, in case of regular acceptance and upon agreement, cast from an aluminum material approved for the food industry.

Painting with salt water-resistant paint for offshore use is also possible.

Material of the GE504 axial fan

Glass fiber reinforced plastic is the material from which the impellers are produced as standard. However, aluminum impellers can also be produced upon request.

Rectangular plate fans are available by agreement and a minimum order quantity.

IP54 and IP56 for use in humid conditions are possible, but IP44 is standard.

Since the specification of the air direction can be made when ordering the axial fans, the flow of air is also freely selectable.

Technical diagram of axial fan GE504

The air direction of the fans can also be reversed, but in this case an air power loss m 15% must be expected. The blades of the impellers are profiled to achieve optimum efficiency.
The motors are not standard motors, but are developed by Kaiser Ventilatorenbau and specially adapted to each fan type. According to DIN EN 60085 the motors carry the thermal protection class F or H.
Type tests for storage and installation temperature and IPx6 moisture class tests are available and can be requested if required.
Saltwater tests are also available for the stainless steel fans used in offshore applications.
The fans are energy efficient, carry the CE mark and comply with the Ecodesign Directive (ErP Directive 2009/125/EC EU Regulation No. 327/2011).
Weather protection dampers and discharge protection grilles are available on request.
CAD data are permanently available for download on our website in STEP exchange format, allowing our fans to be easily and quickly integrated into any design process.
