Description of MD304 axial fan

Axial fan type MD304 is a quiet and efficient running fan with a diameter of 300mm. Therefore, the size is also 300mm, and the rated speed is 1400rpm. The fan has a volume flow of 2000m³/h.

The axial fans are versatile due to their flexible design. For example, the products of Kaiser Ventilatorenbau are used for cooling of offices, but also for cooling of smaller generator rooms or for cooling of or in machines. The design of the built-in fan is particularly suitable for integration in hall or office walls. The use of our built-in fans for cooling and ventilation is also made possible by the stable steel ring.

Voltage and regulation of the MD304 axial fan

The AC fans can also be controlled by temperature controllers at 230Volt.

For office use, air quality controllers are often used to make the air there more comfortable. Thus, the fans are also often used in stables.

If an area of high temperature is desired as the fan application, a thermal contact in the form of a bimetal switch is recommended to prevent damage to the motor.

The standard rated voltage of the three-phase motor is 400Volt and 50Hertz, but voltages of 480Volt, 60Hertz and 575olt, 60 Hertz for USA and Canada are also available. Special voltages of 500Volt, 50Hertz are also included in our catalog.

Stainless steel versions of the MD304 axial fan

Stainless steel fans in V2A and V4A are also available. V2A is particularly suitable for use in the food industry (material number 1.4301 or AISI 304 or X5CrNi189), while V4A (material number 1.4571 or AISI 316 or X10CrNiMoTil810) is particularly suitable for use in salty air.

The motors, which are made of high quality cast aluminum, can be left raw or painted with food color on request. A product made of an aluminum material approved for the food industry is also possible if regular acceptance tests are carried out.

For offshore use, painting with salt water resistant paint is also possible.

Material of the MD304 axial fan

Standard for our impellers is the production of glass fiber reinforced plastic, but they can also be made of aluminum, which allows them to be used at higher temperatures.

A rectangular plate fan version is available by agreement, but only from a minimum order quantity.

The protection class, which is IP44 as standard, can be extended to IP54 or IP56 for use in humid conditions on request.

If the specification of the air direction is made when ordering the axial fan, the air flow can be freely selected.

Weather protection dampers and blow-out protection grilles from our offer can also be retrofitted, should they be necessary to comply with the Machinery Directive.

Technical illustration of the axial fan MD304

The air direction of the axial fan is reversible, but a reduction of the air performance of about 15% must be expected, as the impeller blades are profiled for optimum efficiency.
The motors, which are specially developed by Kaiser Ventilatorenbau and adapted to the axial fans, have thermal protection class F or H according to DIN EN 60085.
Type tests exist for the bearing and operating temperature, which can be requested if required. Salt water tests for the use of stainless steel fans in offshore applications are also available, as is an IPx6 test for the moisture class.
The fan carries the CE mark and thus complies with the Ecodesign Directive ERP 2015 (ErP Directive 2009/125/EC EU Regulation No. 327/2011). The motors are also designed to be energy-efficient.
The fans can be controlled in the complete speed range, which can be done by speed controllers in transformer design from our offer.
The 230Volt AC axial fans can be controlled by stepless electronic speed controllers, which can be supplemented by temperature controllers or CO2 controllers and air quality controllers.
The three-phase motors are controllable by frequency converters, which, depending on the frequency converter, must be supplemented by an all-pole sinusoidal filter between the motor and the fan (according to DIN-IEC/TS 60034-17).
CAD data of our designs are always available for download from our website in STEP exchange format. This allows our customers to easily include the fans in their digital planning process even before ordering.
