Description of the LE354 axial fan
The extremely energy-efficient and quiet running axial fan LE354 has a volume flow of 2750 m³/h at a nominal speed of 1400 rpm. At a voltage of 230 volts, the fan has a diameter of 350 mm.
The fans can be used, for example, in offices, but also for ventilation of smaller rooms with, for example, generators. Very often the fans are used for cooling of or in machines. The variant of the built-in fan has a powder-coated or galvanized built-in ring made of 2 mm steel. This enables easy integration in containers or office and hall walls.
Voltage and regulation of the axial fan LE354
AC fans can be controlled by temperature controllers TR46 from our offer.
Air quality controllers are often used in offices, where they can make the air more pleasant and fresh. Axial fans are also often used in this way in stable buildings.
Thermal contacts (bimetal switches) are recommended for high operating temperatures, because they can prevent damage to the motor.
The AC axial fan has a voltage of 230 volts and 50 hertz. For the three-phase motors, special voltages of 500 volts and 50 hertz and voltages for the USA (480 volts, 60 hertz) and Canada (575 volts, 60 hertz) are also available.
The fans can be controlled over the entire speed range. This is particularly well possible with the robust speed controllers in transformer design from our wide range of products.
The 230 volt AC fans are also infinitely and electronically controllable by means of these three-phase controllers. In addition to the temperature controllers and the air quality controllers, the control can also be taken over by CO2 controllers based on this.
Frequency converters can also take over the control for the three-phase motors. According to DIN-IEC/TS 60034-17, however, an all-pole sinusoidal filter must be added between the motor and the fan, depending on the frequency converter.
Stainless steel variants of the LE354 axial fan
Stainless steel fans are also available. V2A fans (material number 1.4301 or AISI 304 or X5CrNi189) are mainly used for the food industry. V4A fans made of the special stainless steel V4A (material number 1.4571 or AISI 316 or X10CrNiMoTil810) are preferably used in applications with highly salty air.
The motors are made of high quality cast aluminum as standard. On request, they can be left raw for the food industry or painted with food color. In case of regular acceptance, a special aluminum material approved for the food industry is also conceivable upon agreement.
Painting with salt water-resistant paint for offshore use is also possible.
Material of the axial fan LE354
As standard, the impellers are made of sturdy plastic reinforced with glass fiber. For higher operating temperatures, they can also be supplied in aluminum.
For cost reasons, production as a rectangular plate fan is only possible on request and from a minimum order quantity.
Also, the standard IP44 protection rating can be upgraded to IP54 or IP56 for use in humid environments.
Due to the flexible design, the air direction can be freely selected when ordering.
Technical illustration of the axial fan LE354
After ordering, the air direction is still reversible, i.e. reversible. However, in order to guarantee the highest possible efficiency in the standard air direction, the impeller blades are profiled, which is why an air performance loss of 15% must be expected when the air direction is reversed.
No standard motors are developed for the axial fans, but each motor is developed by Kaiser Ventilatorenbau itself and individually adapted to the axial fans. According to DIN EN 60085 the motors correspond to the thermal protection class F or H.
Type tests regarding bearing and installation temperature can be requested. Likewise, permanent salt water tests of the stainless steel fans in the offshore area and IPx6 tests of the humidity class are available.
The energy-efficient design means the fan meets the requirements of the ERP2015 Ecodesign Directive (ErP Directive 2009/125/EC EU Regulation No. 327/2011) and carries the CE mark.
Weather protection dampers and discharge grilles are also available, should they be necessary for the Machinery Directive.
CAD data in STEP exchange format are permanently available for download from the company website. They allow flexible and non-binding integration of the fans into the customer's design process.
