Description of KE304 axial fan
The KE304 type axial fan is the AC fan matching the KD304A axial fan in two-phase AC with 230Volt. Just like the KD304, this one runs very quietly. The fan with a nominal speed of 1400 rpm has a volume flow of 1800 m³/h and the fan has a diameter of 3000mm. The size corresponds to the size at 300mm.
The axial fan is suitable for various applications, such as cooling of small to medium rooms, containers, generators and machines. As a built-in axial fan, the fan can be used in walls of offices, containers in sandwich construction and similar areas. There it can be well used for cooling or fresh air supply.
Voltage and control of KE304 axial fan
By using our temperature controller, the AC axial fan can be used to regulate heat.
When the KE304 fan is used in combination with our air quality controller, it can improve the air quality and provide a better climate
Axial fans can be used very well for animal housing in organic farms.
The KE304 AC axial fan can be equipped with a thermal contact in the form of a bimetal switch. Thus, this switches off for protection when the temperature is too high.
The rated voltage is 230Volt, 50Hz, but voltages of 100Volt, 60Hz and in three-phase operation as KD304 of 480Volt, 60Hz (USA) and 575Volt, 60Hz (Canada) are also possible. Special voltages of 500Volt, 50Hz are also available.
Stainless steel versions of the KE304 axial fan
Fans in stainless steel design are used in the food industry. Therefore, we have developed our fans in the form of the stainless steel fans in V2A (material number 1.4301 or AISI 304 or X5CrNi189). The motors are made of high quality cast aluminum. These can be left raw for the food industry or painted with food color on request. Direct production from aluminum material approved for the food industry is conceivable, with annual purchase quantities.
For the area in salty air, like coastal area, drilling rigs (offshore area) the fans can be made of stainless steel V4A (material number 1.4571 or AISI 316 or X10CrNiMoTil810).
In addition, painting with salt water resistant paint is possible.
Material of the KE304 axial fan
The standard impellers are made of glass fiber reinforced plastic. For very high temperatures, the use of aluminum impellers is also possible.
The rectangular plate design as a plate fan is also available on request. For cost reasons, however, this is only advisable from a minimum order quantity to be specified in advance.
The protection class is IP44, also available is the protection class IP54 and the protection class IP56 for humid environments.
When ordering, the installation position should be specified, but this can also be changed later if the situation still changes on site.

Reversing the air direction (reversibility) is possible with the KE304 fan. Since the blades are profiled similar to aircraft profiles for better efficiency, in the reversed direction the air performance is reduced by about 15%.
Due to the use of specially developed motors for the fans of the company Kaiser Ventilatorenbau, they are particularly efficient and in accordance with DIN EN 60085, the design is manufactured in the thermal protection class F or H on request.
The permissible temperatures during storage of the fans and the operating conditions have been tested by means of type tests in climatic chambers. The stainless steel fans have been verified and proven via salt water tests for offshore use and an IPx6 humidity test.
The fan complies with the ERP 2015 Ecodesign Directive and has the CE mark.
The motors are energy efficient and the fans comply with ERP2015 (ErP Directive 2009/125/EC EU Regulation No. 327/2011).
The KE304 valve gate is controllable over the entire power range via a stepless speed controller. Automatic controllers for temperature and CO2 are also available.
The design of the three-phase motors can be controlled via speed controllers, transformers and frequency converters. In accordance with DIN-IEC/TS 60034-17, it should be noted that, depending on the frequency converter, an all-pole sinusoidal filter must be connected between the motor and the fan.
Blow-out protection grilles and weather protection dampers are available if required by the machine directive and the area of application.
