Description of KE404 axial fan

The quiet running axial fans type KE404 have a nominal speed of 1400rpm and a voltage of 230volts.

The fan has a diameter of 400mm, which is why the size is also 400mm, the volume flow is 1200 m³/min.

The axial fans are versatile, for example, for cooling in machines, for cooling of smaller rooms with generators or for cooling of office rooms. The axial fan design is suitable for hall or office walls. Containers are also suitable as a place of application for cooling and ventilation due to the stable mounting ring.

Voltage and control of the KE404 axial fan

Through temperature controllers, AC axial fans can be additionally controlled even at 230Volt.

To make the air in office rooms more pleasant, air quality controllers are also included in the offer. Thus, axial fans are also used in stables.

To avoid damage to the motor, thermal contacts in the form of bimetal switches at high temperatures are also possible.

The rated voltage is 230Volt and 50Hz, but voltages of 575Volt, 60Hz (Canada) and 480Volt, 60Hz (USA) are also available for three-phase motors. Special voltages of 500Volts and 50Hz are also available.

Stainless steel versions of KE404 axial fan

Different stainless steel versions such as stainless steel fans in V2A (material number 1.4301 or AISI 304 or X5CrNi189) as a design variant for the food industry as well as stainless steel fans in special stainless steel V4A (material number 1.4571 or AISI 316 or X10CrNiMoTil810) for salty air are available.

The motors are made of high-quality cast aluminum. For the food industry, they can be left raw or, if desired, painted with food color. For regular approvals, aluminum material approved for the food industry can also be used in the production.

Painting with salt water-resistant paint is also possible for offshore applications.

Material of the KE404 axial fan

Impellers are produced from glass fiber reinforced plastic as standard. Aluminum impellers are also available for higher temperatures upon request.

By agreement, a rectangular plate fan design is also possible. However, for cost reasons this is only possible from a minimum order quantity.

Standard protection class is IP44, IP54 and IP56 are possible for humid environments.

By specifying the air direction, the air flow can be freely selected when ordering the axial fans.

In order to comply with the Machinery Directive, weather protection dampers or discharge grilles are also available if required.

Technical diagram of KE404 axial fan

The air direction of the axial fans is reversible, i.e. the axial fan is reversible. The air output is reduced by about 15% in the reversed direction because the impeller blades are profiled for optimum efficiency.
The motors of the axial fans are specially adapted to the axial fans and developed by Kaiser Ventilatorenbau. The thermal protection class corresponds to protection class F or H according to DIN EN 60085.
For the fans there are type tests for the bearing temperature and the operating temperature of the fans. For the offshore area, salt water tests of the stainless steel fans are available. An IPx6 test is available for the humidity class.
The fan carries the CE mark and thus complies with the ERP 2015 Ecodesign Directive (ErP Directive 2009/125/EC EU Regulation No. 327/2011).
The motors are energy efficient.
The fans are controllable over the entire speed range, in the simplest case by robust transformer-type speed controllers.
Continuously variable electronic speed controllers can be used to control and regulate the 230Volt AC axial fans. Based on this, the control can also be taken over by our CO2 controllers and air quality controllers or temperature controllers.
The three-phase motors can also be controlled by frequency converters. According to DIN-IEC/TS 60034-17 it has to be considered that depending on the frequency converter an all-pole sine filter has to be connected between motor and fan.
Our CAD data for 3D design are available at any time in the STEP exchange format. This enables the customer's design department to easily and quickly include the axial fans in advance in the design and construction process.
