 Description of axial fan LE254

LE254, a quiet and efficient running fan with a volume flow of 1200 m³/h, a voltage of 230 volts and a diameter of 250 mm at a rotation frequency of 1400 rpm.

The flexible design allows the fan to be used in many different areas. Often the fan is used to cool rooms with generators or to ventilate office spaces. However, the most popular use is for cooling of or in machines. The sturdy steel mounting ring in the variant of the built-in fan allows its use in containers, office or hall walls.

Temperature controllers (TR46) enable easy control of the AC fans.

Air quality controllers are also in our wide offer and can be used to control the fans.

If the fan is to be used under high temperatures, additional thermal contacts in the form of bimetal switches are recommended to prevent damage to the motor.

The voltage of the AC motor is 230 volts and 50 hertz. Special voltages for the three-phase motors (500 volts and 50 hertz) can be supplied upon agreement. 480 volts or 575 volts and 60 hertz for the USA and Canada are also available on request.

The fans can be controlled in the entire speed range as standard. Speed controllers in transformer design are recommended from our range for this purpose.

The AC fans can also be controlled by the speed controllers. In addition to the temperature and air quality controllers, the control can also be performed by CO2 controllers.

Frequency converters can control the three-phase motors. DIN-IEC/TS 60034-17 must be followed. Depending on the frequency converter, an all-pole sinusoidal filter must be installed between the motor and the fan.

Stainless steel versions of the LE254 axial fan

Stainless steel fans are also available. The material V2A (material number 1.4301 or AISI 304 or X5CrNi189) is particularly suitable for the food industry, while the special stainless steel V4A (material number 1.4571 or AISI 316 or X10CrNiMoTil810) can be used well in very salty air.

The high quality aluminum casting from which the motors are made as standard can be left raw for the food industry, painted with food color or even made from a special aluminum material in case of regular acceptance and after consultation.

Painting with a varnish resistant to salt water is also possible for the offshore sector after consultation.

Material of the LE254 axial fan

The impellers, produced as standard from fiberglass-reinforced plastic, can also be made from aluminum, which is particularly worthwhile for high operating temperatures.

For cost reasons, the design variant of the rectangular plate fan is only available from a minimum order quantity and on request.

The standard IP44 protection can be easily upgraded to IP54 or IP56.

The flexible axial design also allows the air direction to be freely selected when ordering.

After ordering, the air direction can still be reversed. However, the air performance is then reduced by 15%, since the profiled impeller blades only guarantee optimum efficiency in the standard air direction.
Kaiser Ventilatorenbau does not use standard motors in the construction of its fans, but only motors of its own design. They carry the protection class F or H according to DIN EN 60085.
Type tests for bearing and installation temperature can be requested. Likewise, saltwater tests for use in offshore applications and an IPx6 test of the moisture class are available permanently.
Due to their energy-efficient in-house design, the fans comply with the ERP2015 Ecodesign Directive (ErP Directive 2009/125/EC EU Regulation No. 327/2011) and carry the CE mark.
Discharge protection grilles and weather protection dampers are available.
CAD data in STEP exchange format is available for download from our website for easy integration of the blowers into the customer's design.
