Description of axial fan ME354
The axial fans of the type ME354 run quietly and efficiently with a volume flow of 3000m³/h, a nominal speed of 1400 rpm and a voltage of 230V. The diameter and thus the size is 350mm.
The axial blowers can be used for cooling in or of machines, for cooling office spaces or for cooling smaller generator rooms. The areas of application are thus versatile, which further supports the design of the axial fan as a built-in fan. This makes it easy to install even in hall or office walls. The stable steel mounting ring also makes it possible to use it in containers for ventilation and cooling.
Voltage and control of the axial fan ME354
Additionally, the 230Volt AC axial fans can be regulated by temperature controllers.
Our offer also includes air quality controllers, which are often used to make the air in offices more pleasant. Stables are also such a popular place of use of our axial fans.
If it is desired to use the fans permanently under higher temperatures, a thermal contact in the form of a bimetal switch is recommended to prevent damage to the motor.
The rated voltage of our AC fans is 230Volts and 50 Hertz, however, voltages of 480Volts, 60 Hertz and 575Volts, 60 Hertz for USA and Canada applications and special voltages of 500Volts, 50 Hertz are also available for three-phase fans.
Stainless steel versions of the ME354 axial fan
Stainless steel fans are also available in our versatile offer. Fans in stainless steel material V2A (material number 1.4301 or AISI 304 or X5CrNi189) are especially popular in the food industry. Fans in special stainless steel material V4A (material number 1.4571 or AISI 316 or X10CrNiMoTil810) are particularly suitable for use in salty air.
The motors, which are cast as standard from high-quality aluminum, can also be left raw or painted with food color for use in the food industry. A special aluminum material approved for the food industry is also possible in case of regular acceptance tests.
Painting with salt water resistant paint for offshore use is also included in our offer.
Material of the axial fan ME354
The impellers, which are all made of fiberglass reinforced plastic, can also be made of aluminum, which allows them to be used in higher temperatures.
A rectangular plate fan version is also possible by agreement, but for cost reasons delivery is only possible from a minimum order quantity.
The degree of protection, which is IP44 as standard, can be extended to IP54 or IP56 for use in humid conditions if required.
If the air direction is specified when ordering, the air flow can be freely selected.
Weather protection dampers and blow-out protection grilles are also available in our offer, in case they are necessary for compliance with the Machinery Directive.
Technical diagram of the ME354 axial fan
The air direction of the axial fan is reversible, but the axial impeller blades are profiled for optimum efficiency, so a loss of air performance of about 15% must be expected.
According to DIN EN 60085, the motors comply with thermal protection class F or H and have been specially developed by Kaiser Ventilatorenbau and adapted to the axial fans.
Type tests for bearing and operating temperature are available and can be requested if required. Likewise, there are salt water tests for the stainless steel fans in the offshore area and an IPx6 test of the humidity class.
The fans fully comply with the Ecodesign Directive ERP 2015 (ErP Directive 2009/125/EC EU Regulation No. 327/2011), they carry the CE mark and are designed to be energy efficient.
The fans can be controlled across the entire speed range by robust transformer-style speed controllers from our range.
The 230Volt AC fans can be controlled by stepless electronic speed controllers. Based on this, they can be controlled by temperature controllers or CO2 controllers and air quality controllers from our offer.
The three-phase motors are controllable, these by frequency converters. Depending on the frequency converter, according to DIN-IEC/TS 60034-17, an all-pole sinusoidal filter must be added between the motor and the fan.
CAD data in STEP exchange format are permanently available on our website, which makes it easier for our customers to easily include the fans in their design process.
