Description of MD354 axial fan
The MD354 axial fan is an efficient and quiet running fan with a diameter and size of 350mm. It has a voltage of 400Volt, a volume flow of 3000m³/h and a nominal speed of 1400 rpm.
The axial fans of the company Kaiser Ventilatorenbau can be used in many ways, for example for cooling of or in machines, for cooling of offices or for cooling of smaller generator rooms. The design as a built-in fan is particularly well suited for use in office walls or hall walls. The sturdy powder-coated or galvanized steel built-in ring also allows use in containers for cooling or ventilation.
Voltage and control of the MD354 axial fan
All AC axial fans can be controlled by temperature controllers at 230Volt.
Air quality controllers from our offer are often used to make the air more comfortable in busy office spaces. Our axial fans are also widely used in stables and are appreciated for their high quality.
Thermal contacts in the form of bimetal switches are also an option to prevent damage to the motor when used in high temperatures.
The rated voltage of the three-phase fan is 400 volts and 50 hertz, but voltages for the USA (480 volts, 60 hertz) and Canada (575 volts, 60 hertz) and special voltages (500 volts, 50 hertz) are also available.
Stainless steel versions of the MD354 axial fan
Stainless steel fans are also included in our offer. Versions in V2A (material number 1.4301 or AISI 304 or X5CrNi189) for food industry and V4A (material number 1.4571 or AISI 316 or X10CrNiMoTil810) for salty air can be ordered on request.
The motors, which are cast in high quality aluminum as standard, can be left raw for the food industry or treated with food color if required. In case of regular acceptance, an aluminum material approved for the food industry is also conceivable.
Painting with paint that is resistant to salt water is also possible for offshore applications.
Material of the axial fan MD354
Aluminum impellers can be manufactured on request for use under high temperatures. Standard impellers are made of glass fiber reinforced plastic material.
A plate fan version in rectangular shape is also possible after consultation and a minimum order quantity.
The standard IP44 protection class can be extended to IP54 or IP56 on request, which also allows use in humid conditions.
If the air direction is specified when ordering, the air flow can be freely selected.
Weather protection dampers or blow-out protection grilles from our offer are also available, if they are necessary for the machine directive.
Technical description of the MD354 axial fan
The axial fan has the possibility of reversible, i.e. reversible air direction. However, a loss of air performance of up to 15% must be expected, as the impeller blades are profiled for optimum efficiency.
The motors have been specially developed by Kaiser Ventilatorenbau and adapted to the axial fans. They carry thermal protection class F or H according to DIN EN 60085.
Type tests, salt water tests and IPx6 tests are available. The type tests refer to the storage and installation temperature, the salt water tests to the stainless steel fans in the offshore area and the IPx6 tests to the moisture class of the fans.
The fans are designed to be energy efficient and all carry the CE mark. They meet the requirements of the ERP 2015 Ecodesign Directive (ErP Directive 2009/125/EC EU Regulation No. 327/2011).
The 230 volt AC fans are also controllable by stepless electronic speed controllers, and control based on this can be taken over by temperature controllers or CO2 controllers and air quality controllers.
The three-phase AC motors can be controlled by frequency converters, but according to DIN-IEC/TS 60034-17 it must be noted that, depending on the frequency converter, an all-pole sinusoidal filter must be connected between the motor and the fan.
CAD data in STEP exchange format are permanently available for our customers on our website, which allows easy integration of our fans into the design and planning process.
